"Media reports about the acquisition had no basis," said a Samsung spokesman told Reuters.
BlackBerry also dismissed the news stating that Samsung is trying to "ask for her hand."
"BlackBerry is not involved in discussions with Samsung in connection with the possibility of an offer to buy a BlackBerry," reads the statement of the Canadian company.
Earlier, a report from Reuters claims that the BlackBerry shares will be bought by Samsung at a price of 13.35 to 15.49 dollars per share. This value is higher than the selling price of the BlackBerry stock at this time. Of that number will be found to result if the BlackBerry has a value of 6 to 7.5 billion dollars in the eyes of Samsung. This price includes the value of patents owned by BlackBerry.
